U14 Girls Extinguish Fire

U14 Girls travelled away to Essex to play Brentwood Fire following on from a storming Home victory against Ipswich Basketball Club.

An excellent team effort from the Youngblood’s Lions Cubs as they oversaw Brentwood fighting back in the last quarter trying to take advantage of the fact that they had 5 players on the court compared to Youngblood’s 4 players. The Youngblood’s players were tired and spent!

Upon the final whistle, the girls all let out a sigh of relief! Leaving Brentwood with a final score 54 to Youngblood’s Lions 61.

Coach Caroline Charles clearly delighted after being shorthanded before and during the game said “Excellent gutsy performance from the girls, especially within the Final Quarter, showing great character”
