Pioneering Away Victory for U14 Premier Boys

The Lions traveled to Northwest London to face a Pioneers side that were very impressive in their first game winning by 37 points.  Determined to get to carry on their positive form, Loins went of the offensive causing the Pioneers all sorts of problems going on a 10-0 run to start the game.  Demi Dada was very influential grabbing every board and scoring with ease. More points came in the way of captain Marc leading from the front and securing the first quarter 30 -13.

Questionable officiating decision and poor defending impacted the second quarter as the rapid start took a dramatic turn with Lions failing to score in the first 4 minutes. After a time-out the boys went back in and scored 15pts in the last 4 min to extend the lead and with seconds to go Alfe hit a 3-point buzzer beater shot much to the delight of the crowd to end the half.

A much better third sees Jahni Wedderburn and Luca hitting some beautiful mid range shots half way through. Pioneers would mount a comeback with good ball movements and long range shooting to end the quarter but the final quarter belonged to the Lions who bulldozed their way to a whopping 89-31 victory. Top performers are, Sultan (23pts) Marc (16pts) and Jayden (12pts).
