Youngbloods started their 2018/19 season with an impressive win over RDF Lions. The visitors are a newly formed team and were eager to stamp their mark on the league.

It was Youngbloods who started the better with a 13-0 lead with early baskets from Ethan and Sultan. More came by the way of new boy Mercy who scored 5 of his 11points in the first quarter to end it 28-4.

RDF struggled to get around Youngbloods intense defence as they turned the ball over 15 times in the second. They would later find their rhythm with their main man Sosanya finding easy passage to the basket scoring 10 of his team high 15 points. Returning player Roman showed his class late in the second quarter, bulldozing his way to the basket with some and-one plays to end the half 47-20.

The third and fourth would see the home side step-up defensively and converting multiple fast breaks.  Sultan led all scorers with game high 19 points 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. A good team performance with much improvement needed moving into the next game against London Thunder.
