Newham Youngblood’s Lions had an emphatic win at home on Sunday, defeating Surrey Rams 92-27 in the Basketball England U14 Boys Premier Division.
The game was a one-sided affair throughout, as Youngblood’s exerted their dominance in each quarter of the game. Despite both sides being short-handed. The superior size, strength and speed of the Youngblood’s Lions side was on full show as Christian Adun, Roman Pitoula and Megane Stanley dominated on the inside when brought together by the quick pace of Neave Gregoire-Clarke, Joshua Morgan and Defensive Hustle of Edas Rukas and Nathaniel Boatey made it a tough team for the away to come against.
“It was a game where we stuck to our style of basketball, fast-paced strong inside presence. The boys played today with freedom created by confidence and they should be proud of themselves with more yet to come!” said Coach Aaron Senior
Youngblood’s Lions will look to continue their strong showing season in the New Year.
