A strong second half display from the Under 18 Youngblood Lions delivered a deserved 55-76 road win in Brighton against the Worthing Thunder.
The Youngblood Lions shrugged off a spirited start from the home team to slowly edge ahead in the first quarter, point guard Jonathan Ragasa and wing Tyrell Robinson were the focus as the side led at the end of the quarter 12-19.
Both teams scored with ease to start the second quarter but the home side were beginning to lose discipline as fouls sent the visitors to the Line numerous times, Ragasa nabbed 16 points in the first half himself as the Youngblood Lions led 32-39.
There was not much between both teams in the third as Juied Ishmael punished Thunder on the break, the score was 44-51 going into the final quarter.
The fourth quarter was where the defence kicked in, tremendous rebounding from Kevin Ola got him extended minutes as Rio Murray-Webster and Tyrell Robinson went to work bringing home the victory 55-76.
Ragasa finished with 26 points and Ola grabbed 16 rebounds.
