Obi Agu and Jelani Watson-Gayle have both been selected to be apart of the Top 50 players in the UK to take part in the Deng Top 50 Camp taking place at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre . Agu and Watson-Gayle have been selected after months of discussions and debates, the DENGTOP50 selection panel made their final list of 50 invited players.

The camp, which will take place from the 19th-22nd August 2015 at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, will feature individual drills, combine testing, classroom analysis, strength and conditioning and competitive games, culminating in the 50 players being ranked at the end of it.

Agu and Watson-Gayle played together for a number of years at Youngbloods both leading the 2013/14 Under 16 Boys team to the National Final Fours for the first time in club history, finishing second in the country which would see Agu move on to Barking Abbey Basketball Academy where he plied his trade this season. Watson-Gayle took over leadership reigns of the Under 16 Boys team the past season which saw the team repeat the feat set by the previous Under 16s and made the Playoff Final and finishing second in the country.

“This is good recognition for both Obi and Jelani after leading our club to National Finals two years in a row, they deserve the individual recognition also and I am sure their team mates believe the same also, it is always a team effort and that is what got them this achievement, something I know Obi and Jelani will never shy away from” said Coach Aaron Senior who coached both whilst Under 16s at the club. “All at the club wish both players well at the Deng Top50”
