Watson-Gayle Selected for U17 England Squad

Jelani Watson-Gayle will be in action for the  England Under-17 Development squad this weekend, as they head to Cherbourg for Le Tournoi International hosted by A.S. Cherbourg Basket.

Drawn in Pool B with Tunisia, Paris and the home town team, Cherbourg, the squad will tip off the action on Friday night

“This will be a tough campaign for our guys who are playing a year young in an U18 tournament,” said Head Coach Stephen Barnes. “We have a strong group facing Paris, Cherbourg and Tunisia and a tough schedule playing three games in the space of 14 hours!

“However, the guys are really looking forward to the challenge and I think it will be a great learning experience for all concerning”.
