**Youngbloods 90 VS 64 Hoxton Heat**

There has been mixed reviews on how the men’s team will fair this season after losing
one of the most influential players ever to play at the club. **John Ragasa** is
currently pursuing his basketball dream in the Philippines. His impact on and off
the court has and will be truly missed. Youngbloods wishes him all the best on his
adventures.

Youngbloods welcomed Hoxton Heat to St Angela’s for the first time as they aim to
prove the critics wrong. Hoxton displayed ranges of dunks and shooting in their
warm-up looking organized and primed. They started the better scoring the first
basket and taking a large lead. Suddenly Youngbloods kicked into gear with multiple
fast breaks resulting in **Richard Marson**, **Alistair Perdido** and **Ryan Connole**
entering the score sheet. Defense proved vital as the home side took the lead and
never looked back. New boys **Isaiah Lynn** and **Sammy Njuguna** tailored into
the team perfectly as they dazzled supporters with their array of crossovers to
the delight of their teammates.

Youngbloods had a commanding lead to start the second half as they continued their
onslaught, **Anthony Sison** who has been a part of the club since he was 12 years
revealed his amazing range of shooting scoring six 3 pointers to put the score beyond
doubt. More highlights came when Sammy slam-dunked to increase the lead by 30. Although
the visitors mounted a come back in the fourth quarter reducing the deficit but
it was too little too late, Youngbloods hanged on to win 90-64.

Any speculation of the men’s team failing to perform in the absence of John was
surely diminished with a solid performance to start the season. Stand out performances
from **Ricardo Reynolds**, **Fajohn Methalia** and **Ricardo Duberry** helped secure
victory.
